Time really flies. Christmas has ended and I have not more than a week before my holiday ended and going back to work. (Nooooooo, I don't want tooooo!)

I realised that so far I have not been doing something very useful lately. In fact, I have been watching all those Japanese idol videos that my sis had (she keep asking me if I want to watch so I just oblige). Some of them is damm funny so I think it's worth it. You may be wondering what idol video show I'm watching. It's the popular group called KAT-TUN. They also have their own TV show called "KAT-TUN CARTOON". Some of the series are very funny so I recommend watching it. Just search it in YouTube.

Finally had the time to went for a jog yesterday. Was so disappointed that my stamina is dammmmm bad. Now, I have muscle aches all over haha.

Took out an old album "BEST OF 99" and listened. The songs until now are still quite nice to my surprise. Of course, I also find it quite stupid now with songs like "Tarzan and Jane", "Culcutta". I especially enjoy this song "Butterfly" from Smile. Really Nostalgic. Definitely going to put these songs on my ipod.

Ok. I must really make use of all my time left before I start work. So long then~

Yesterday, I was been given a "reality check" on whether I should pursue a Design Course. The truth is, Singapore is not the place to be talking about "DESIGN". Taking Design course is like flushing your money to the toilet. When you come to the working world, there is no "Creative Design", you design what your boss or client like, not what you like.

A very dim future for a designer. Check this out: http://www.happeepill.com/home/designhell/dhell.htm

A whole lot of truth about being a designer. The truth is, you can't survive in Singapore as a designer, you will starve and suffer in Singapore's practicality.

Not just that, I listened to 98.7FM while on the bus after work. Their topic was "Passion or Being Practical". Indeed, most of them go for "Practical" while few of them go for passion.

There is one which I remembered clearly that he said he was a cartoonist for Suria Channel. However, after his contract ended, he did not receive any re-contract from mediacorp and now he was working as a security guard! OMG, this is the REALITY CHECK.

Another commented that in Singapore, "No Money No Talk". Damm True Man!

I think it's really fated that I get to hear all of these in just a day, can you believe it? Maybe I should just treat design as an interest, not as a career.

Ok. Maybe I will consider taking a Business course....Hmmm.....

Oh my haven't been writing my blog. One reason could be because I'm lazy, another is because I was poisoned by my sister's uncooked nuggets which got me in a very upset stomach, feverish. I was almost a dead corpse lying on my bed whole day, unable to do anything except going to the toilet constantly.

After going to the doctor, the usual stuff from my grandma, "Don't go home so late next time!", "You must have eaten the Japanese raw food, next time don't eat again!" .....

I think I really need to exercise, staying in front of the computer all day is really an unhealthy lifestyle and that's why I became sick. My boss keep asking if my food poisoning is because of the Prima Deli Chocolate cake haha.

Now that I'm fine again, let me rant again.

What's wrong with putting Ayumi's photo? Someone said that I must be LESBIAN. OH MY GODDDDDDDDD, what's wrong with appreciating beautiful girls? They are really beautiful, god's creation. Not everyone is given such beauty so we must appreciate ^^ (unless they went for surgery like the koreans then they are not pretty) To prove that I'm not LESIAN, some handsome jap guy photos that I really like.

Cute Guy - Yamashita Tomohisa
He's more of cute that the handsome type. (Although my sis might not agree to that)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Oooo, he's cute in glasses!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I always like to see him wearing school uniform.

Sexy Guy - Jin Akanishi
One of the main singers from the popular pop group KAT-TUN. He's really SHUAIIIII and really like his sexy lips >.<. KAT-TUN would not have survived without him.

Omg. Very nice picture!

Cool, cool

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Omg, his lips are sexy! He's really SHUAIII! AHHHHH!

Ok. That's about all. When I have more photos, I will post it soon. Have to pass this laptop to my sis for her project. Ja Ne!

I don't really understand what is so fun about facebook. How come so many people are so addicted to facebook? It seems like I've been forced to login to facebook to add photos and accept request because someone has been telling me that she always sees a "question mark" on the profile.

Primary school holidays has started and heard that my primary school is going to close down. Awww...so many memories there. I wish I can meet all my primary school friends and tour the school for 1 last time before it was been teared down.

Woah! Last week was really a long weekend for me. From Thur to Sun, a "long" holiday for me. Weeps >.< cannot enjoy 2 months holiday like we do when we were studying poly.

Thurs - Deepavali

Our family went to Sim Ming Road there to have the famous Bak Ku Teh. After that, went to Marina Square coz my sister wanted to buy a present for her friend.

Fri - Off day

Went to SP with my sis (who is now studying there). Was sort of excited to see many students going to school when they came out from the MRT gantry. Ahhh..how I wish I was still a student.... I think I'm a person who always like to think about the past. I know it's not a good thing as the saying always goes, you have to look forward, not look into the past.

Collected clothes ordered from this girl's spree called verleen who's having a lesson at T11. Only then I realised that SP has a new building beside the Engineering Block meant for Chemical Engineering / Chemical Process students. Not fair! How come they get to have a new block while IT students are still at the old block at Emei Shan!

After that, went to Emei Shan and we headed for the library. Borrowed 2 dvds to watch.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Nacho Libre is really funny. I think it's worth watching.
As for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I really like Johnny Depp acting as Willy Wonka ^^. Of course, I also liked him as Jack sparrow in Pirates.

Went home and yay, finally after a very long wait, the clothes I have ordered arrived! One big bag. I sorted my friend's clothes and her friends' clothes. It was quite fun sorting everything and I get to see what they buy also hehe.

Evening, went to meet sharon, jane, the usual gang for dinner. They picked Riverside Indonesian Restaurant (the one which they always had TV ads). As usual, I was late but lucky I saw Asikin while waiting for the NEL.

Asikin was surprised that "I STILL CAN BE LATE!" when I'm on my off day. Wahahahah. Lazy me.

Some photos taken using Siti's camera. Seriously, I think my Sony errisson phone can take a better one than this.>.<

Sharon, Jane and our good old lecturer Kenny Ong. His eyes was gleaming when it comes to talking about his 3-year old son haha. So many many photos of his son in his Dopod. Ahh, I think I need a haircut, I think short hair is more suitable for me haha.

Okay. I don't know why siti sent me this photo? o.O Obviously, they are probably waiting for us at Clarke Quay haha and I still dare to be late! (but obviously I asked them to go to the restaurant first)

某某人was so excited that one of our colleague bought her a Doraemon soft toy for her birthday that she asked me to use my phone to take these photos.

Basically for Sat and Sun, I'm just slacking at home watching Jap Drama, Reading comic and watching Anime - D Gray Man. Really nice anime. I watch until I get addicted. Cannot stop watching haha.

Really a very funny comic! Must read. I was laughing like hell haha.

Lately, my sis has been saying this new japanese idol girl who is gaining popularity because she's very pretty and acted in alot of Japanese dramas. Guys like her and many gals find her pretty too. What I can say is she's really the "natural beauty" or 自然美. She don't need any makeup to be beautiful, she was born to be beautiful. Of course, I will still say that Ayumi is still very pretty, but so is Maki Horikita.

Some photos of Maki Horikita:

Heard that she did not put makeup when acting! Oh my god, she also has good skin!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
OMG! This is my favourite photo! She's so cute and innocent here!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Ok. Next are some photos of Ayumi. I really like her alot. She really has a team of very good makeup artists and producers to make her so pretty in the photos. However, I do heard from some guys that they "hate" her. Not sure whether is it because her eyes are too big haha.

Ahhh...back pain. Acting more like an old lady. I think probably because I haven't been exercising, getting sick twice within 3 months and eating too many unhealthy food. My body is already giving me a signal to take good care of my body haha.

Ok. I will go for a morning / evening run this saturday.

Yay! The clothes that I have ordered are coming next week. So excited!

Some photos to enjoy~ Winter Clothes! Cool~ Soo envy that Taiwanese can have a winter wardrobe.

Omg. I didn't update my blog for a very long time. The reason being I'm really stuck with a lot of things. (I know someone is going to say this is an excuse again). So many things have been happening. Went to a colleague's mother wake, spent alot of money on my broken specs frames which I could not claim for warranty even it is within the warranty period, my swatch watch stopped working and had to replace a new battery. Computer went haywire after trying to force it to use the 512mb kingston ram so that I can make it run faster when playing audition. AND NOW? Lost all my dad's company latest invoices and quotations I did for him when I did not do the backup for him after reformatting my computer. Haizzz....So suay these days....or you can say for the month of October. Yah, almost forgotten, I was so unlucky to step on some "sticky stuff" on my sandals TWICE!!!! I wonder what is happening...Please god let my luck be good again >.< haha.

Woke up early in the morning to travel to marina south to go Kusu Island. Took a shuttle bus to reach Marina South Pier to take the ferry. OMG! There's so many people!!! I waited for 1 hr before it's our turn to board the ferry. The crowd is really like SIAO!

Some photos to enjoy:

This is a very interesting "temple" because it was run by malays where "only Chinese" pray, with joss sticks burning and the malays in charge blessing the Chinese in hokkien dialect, saying stuff like "tio 4D toto, huat chai lar...". But everytime, he will definitely end his sentence with "HUAT ARH!" lol. It's quite funny and they are so enthu about saying these sentences. You get a yellow string that he will tie on your wrist at the end.

Ok. I think I rather stay at home rotting than go another trip there. It's soo crowded with people and I had to queue another 1hr to board the ferry to go back! So sian! While waiting, I sort of helped a child fixed her "windmill" because I was holding one too haha. She saw that mine was turning so well and hers was not really turning. She even requested to exchange mine with hers haha!

Oh did I mention that I was quite pissed off with a auntie who actually pushed and went ahead of me and my sis while queuing for the ferry. I had this conversation with my sis so that the "people in front could HEAR IT CLEARLY"

妹:刚才有个红衣的人推我在前面了。
我:哎呀,她要走前面就“让”她lor! 我们又不是“怕”没有船搭!

I hope the person in "red" heard it CLEARLY! All these people are damm KIASU! As if the ferry will run away if they didnt get in front of us!

Anyway, this is not the first incident I was pissed off. Yesterday, I was looking for a seat at foodcourt. As I was walking towards the seat when the couple left and next moment "less than a second", this stupid uncle "quickly" rush to sit down to "confirm his seat". There is also an incident when I went to the hawker centre with my parents. We were already standing at the blank seats and the next moment, this "stupid" couple quickly "sit down to confirm their seats" even though they knew we were standing right in front them! Next time, I think I just throw a pack of tissue paper to "chop" seat right?

Even when taking buses in the morning, these people are also showing there "kiasu - ness" Zzzz. I was "soooo proud" with these singaporean's spirit!

Thursday, October 11, 2007

Ok. I think I did not update my blog for a very long time. I've been busy with alot of things. The freelance project, meeting with friends, going online shopping, playing audition, playing maple, went for haircut ,helping my uncle installing his printer, fixing my computer......so many things to do so little time. (Maybe I should just stop playing games >.<)

Was so surprised to saw a secondary school indian classmate while I was on the bus. Surprisingly, she alighted off at the same bus stop as me. So, I just approached her and luckily she still remembered me and I did not call out the wrong person haha. Sort of quite awkward because I don't know what to talk to her but talked awhile on our lives. She spoke with a "ang moh" slang and I was sort of tuning myself not to speak "Singlish!" Expected with her slang since she was studying a IT Uni School in Australia or Massachusetts???

I'm not so sure but I just knew she's studying Uni overseas. And I've also realised that she has gained on weight. Ooops! Anyway, it's like 7 years ago since we've known each other. I was thinking...how time flies so fast....how i miss secondary school life. I really have to urge to go back to my secondary school to visit my teachers. >.<

Some photos to enjoy hehe.

I think I'm really soooooo bored until I was doodling some rubbish drawing on a piece of blank paper which we found it while cleaning the office drawers. Even orange was asking if I'm REALLY THAT BORED? Whenever I saw blank papers, my eyes will start to *blink blink* because I was thinking about how I can make use of these papers to draw my stuff haha.

Ok. I think I can cancel the ipod sock from my wishlist. Zi Ning (new internship student) was so kind to buy me this ipod sock! So delighted. Actually it's a fake one but I don't mind, it looks like what I wanted and it only costs 4.90!

I know my blog does not have alot of people viewing but I REALLY NEED TO SELL OFF THESE ITEMS. IT'S REALLY TAKING SPACE IN MY ROOM! All items are brand new. Interested, please let me know!

Rainy day is definitely a very good day to sleep. Too bad that I have to wake up to go to work >.< I only slept at 1am yesterday so I'm quite restless in the office. Been wanting to fall asleep while doing the website changes in the office. I think I'm going to sleep early today so that I won't fall asleep in the office tomorrow.

Last night, was having some talk with my father and sis about Japanese surname. How come they got 4 letter characters in their name. My father said Japanese don't really have a surname. They actually got their surname from where they lived. So my father told me this story as an example. I was kind of laughing away. Let's say this guy is called 太郎 and he lives at the mountain top. Mountain top in chinese is 山上. So you combine together and you have a name: 山上太郎。lol. It's really funny how it's interpreted but I think this is how they got their surname.

Let's say for my sis's favourite idol, his name is called: 山下智久。 From the first 2 characters, you can tell that his ancestors was living below the mountain that's why the 山下. 智久 is his name.

Haha. Facscinating how japanese names derived. Ok. That's about all. I now going to surf this website that I've recently came across by chance. http://www.dannychoo.com
All you need to know about japanese culture. I think "ero" guys may like this site. Please do not be mistaken. I wanted to browse that site is because it's really a good site that depicts and writes alot on Japanese street culture and those daily life which you will not experience even if you go there for a week holiday. Really an eye opener for me but till now, my view of Japanese culture is the guys there are really "perverts", "guy dominated" and "girls are just merely a pretty vase with noo brains". Ok. I think I'm writing more like an ah-mah. haha.

I had too many photos of my neigbour's baby because he's really cute and smart but very naughty haha. So I just do a quick 5min photoshop work and combine all the photos. It's not the impressive one but I thought I just wanted to show his photos because he's so cute!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Wow. Today is a humid weather. I was perspiring even at home. Imagine if I go out now I think I will be wet all over. Maybe I should hang out at shopping centre instead of staying at home to enjoy the air-con haha.

Thinking of posting some photos of my sis's cranberry cupcake she made for all of us. It's quite tasty. We bought the cupcake paper from Daiso because it's cute with the cartoon designs. But I think the paper is not as good as the conventional one because it's not oil absorbent and it's oily when you touch it.

Enough for everyone!

It was already 1.34am when I writing this post. Suddenly, I just felt like writing. Just came back from our company gathering at one of our colleague's house at Sunbird Avenue (just opposite Singapore Expo). Her terrace house was impressive with all the beautiful furniture and looks so high class.

After having our dinner, basically they had talked almost for more than 2 hours on many things. You can say that I'm just there to listen since most of the time the boss is talking to our colleague from "How to treat a child with high fever" to "The IT industry on whose in the top chart sales" to "Some experience they shared about doing business in China". I agree some topics are quite interesting but I just feel a sense of annoymity. It's just like a generation gap between a parent and their child. I just feel like I'm "small" or I shouldn't be there kind of feeling. Haha. Not sure as to why but this is how I felt.

Meiling got a $200 voucher for being good in customer service. Good for her. Boss was telling me to fight for the next round which would be around christmas time. Yup, $200 is alot but I feel that I'm not that kind of person who would "chiong" just because of that $200 voucher, especially when I really dislike customer service job. Sometimes, I get irritated or annoyed when I'm focusing on doing my design work and the phone suddenly rang on me! I hate being disrupted by calls or unexpected customers' walk-in when I was in the "peak" of doing my work.

I know I sound unkind but this is really how I felt. How are you going to force me to like doing customer service when I'm so dedicated to doing design work? Maybe, this is not the job for me. After doing for 2 years of facing all sorts of customers, I'm still cannot get used to the disrupting calls and walk-in customers. Afterall, I'm myself, I do what I do best. I think facing all sorts of nasty customers gave me quite a good experience on this field but I wonder, Customer Service, is it really something that anyone or everyone can do it?

Ok. enough of my ranting. I need to focus my energy more on my freelance project! hehe. I think this is really what I enjoy!

Sunday, September 16, 2007

Sometimes, I feel that I have alot of things to write but it just disapppears in my mind when I started to write it down.

I think probably because of the air-con in our office, getting infected by a flu virus can be so easy and now I'm getting a day mc to rest at home. It's a good opportunity to tidy up my messy room and organise my things since I was unable to do that during the weekends due to my sickness. Even had to wait 2 hours to be able to see the doctor just for 5 minutes and get my medicine before leaving beauty world centre for home. During the 2 hours, had lunch, went shopping around although there's really nothing for me to buy. Eventually I came across a top which I think was not bad but was interrupted by my sis to ask me to go down to the clinic as it was near my turn to see the doctor.

An encounter with a Japanese Culture

I wanted to share this small incident with you about how "too" polite Japanese are. This Japanese customer came to our office to review at his data. Showed him the DVD. After finding that he's data was not there. He explained to me in Japanese and I was stunned by what he was trying to tell me. Then I continued by saying that if data cannot be recovered then we won't charge them a cent. He then said "sankyu" to me.

I told him to take back his "thumbdrive" and you know what he answered? He raised his hand pointing to his thumb and said "thumb?" I was like shocked as to what is he's trying to say. I can't be bothered to explain to him so I just went over to my desk to take the thumbdrive.

After signing the necessary forms, I passed him the thumbdrive and he used both hands to take from me. I was quite surprised. Does he need to be sooo formal. Then I told him "sorry" and he told me a whole lots of "sorry, sankyu, gome" and even "BOW" to be me! I was shocked. Before he left the office, he also "bowed" to all the 'staff (as if we cared)" in the office before disappearing from my sight. What a polite guy. I wonder if he still remembers this is "Singapore" and not "Japan".

Ok. I've been very busy lately. Got a freelance web project from Jane. So that means I can earn more pocket money hehe. And I've been organising a Cutie Spree to order from them directly. That explains why I need extra pocket money, because I ordered 10 over items (which includes my sisters)and it costs more than $150. Omg. Burning a big hole in my pocket. So I've been controlling myself from spending $$ on clothes when I go out shopping nowadays. But I still spend on other things hehe, but not as much now so I guess that is an improvement?

Wah. Only when people complain would I write a new post on my blog. Ok, I've just finished watching the remaining episodes of jdrama Proposal Daisakusei. It was very touching. T.T. I recommend watching it! 4 out of 5 stars. And Yamapi was so Cuuutteee in the show! Normally I like watching JDrama's Gakusei Life and Jdrama consists of only 12 episodes so it's not as draggy as Kdrama. I still have 2 more jdrama that I've bought that is still waiting for me hehe...

A present for my friend. The reason that I'm posting this picture is not because I want to boast about buying a present for my friend but because "SOMEONE" said that the RIBBON that someone made was VERY NICE and she wanted to take a photo of it. I think I can also do some advertisement for PERLINI SILVER since that bracelet she was wearing was bought there.

Haha. Now is my time to brag about my NEW IPOD NANO! So thin and small compared to my previous IPOD MINI. I chose blue since my previous ipod was a pink one. A lot of them was asking me "Green is also nice, how come you didn't choose?" Why people keep asking me to take green? I know green is nice, but I just feel that blue and pink are the only outstanding colour for an ipod. My choice was actually getting a black but there is no black for a 4GB capacity.

Better don't brag too much. If not "SOMEONE" will said that I'm HARPING on my new IPOD again.

Some photos I took last week when I went with my parents to eat the 七月 dinner or feast. I won't say it's really a feast but what I like is to see them bidding the items. The highest amount to $2000 for a very big bottle of Wine which I think is around 4 litres.

My uncle and my cousin. She really likes taking photos. You can see from her pose that she was ready for this shot. haha.

This one was taken by my cousin. She saw my phone and wanted to take a photo of her father haha. After that, she spend most of the time playing the Java games in my handphone.

Ok. My update is done. I'm off to do my dad's stuff again. Ja ne.
